The coach of Ludogorets – Pavel Vrba – spoke at a press conference prior to the Ludogorets vs Midtjylland match. The team’s midfielder Stefan Badji was present as well. “We can’t choose our competitors but they are all tough teams”, Vrba said.
“All teams are in great physical condition. They are professionals. I’ve seen Midtjylland play and they are a high-class team for sure. I think every game is important but this is the Champions League after all. We have been here before and we will be happy to be part of the tournament once again”, the Czech professional added.
“We learned our lessons and we are getting better. I am not happy about not having an audience, as it will not be the same. However, we still get to play at home without inconveniences like time zones and traveling. Even if their star player Evander missed the game, there are replacements. He is a great player but he missed the last two matches. We will have a hard time either way. Midtjylland is a tough competitor and we think about that a lot. Scandinavian teams are always hard to defeat and they are always part of UEFA’s tournaments for a reason”, Vrba added.
“We have new players and they are doing great. We achieved great results and we are happy about it”, he concluded.
“We are like a big family with players from all over the world. We help our new players get used to their new environment”, Badji said. “Santana is a great player and his style is different compared to Anicet, Dyakov, and me. He learns from the more experienced players and he will help the team”, Badji added.
