Ivan Yordanov is 18 years old and he is a midfielder in the second Ludogorets team. He said a few words for the club TV about the decision to join the Academy and his ambitions.

Yordanov is considered to be one of the most promising midfielders. Prior to the interview, the player wished to not speak about his pros, because he thought that the others should point them out. He comes from the small town of Rakovski because of the chance the Academy offered for his development. The perfect conditions for training and recreation were key for his decision. He learned from the coach Vasev that discipline, training and regular testing of one’s limits. Yordanov became a champion with the U19 team last season under Vasev’s guidance.

His first official contract with the club was signed in 2018 and he has already played a number of matches in the Second league. He points out that the newbies find it hard because of the class most players have but this is the only way to professional football. The hardest success is also the sweetest. He remembers his goal against Dobrudzha during the spring semi-season when he scored from a 40-meter distance. Yordanov was invited by the coach Stoev to join the main team during the 2018/2019 season training. He is impressed by the speed of the main players. His ambition is to play in the First league soon and move on to a foreign team after that. Yordanov has no role model to follow because he wants to be himself most of all.
