Ludogorets Academy has another reason to feel proud. One of most recognizable players from the academy – Svetoslav Kovachev – was invited to become a part of the national football team for the Nations League games against Slovenia and Norway, which are scheduled for 6th and 9th of September 2018. He will be a part of the newly composed team of 23 players who will participate in the new European tournament in which Bulgaria could qualify for UEFA Euro 2020.

The talented midfielder has played in different formations while he was a part of the academy. He has 54 games with the second team and 10 with the main team on his account. Kovachev is a resident player of Dunav (Ruse) since the beginning of the season, where he plays under a rent.

The talented midfielder was invited to join the national team for the first time, but he has participated in three different games as part of the Bulgaria U17 team in the last three years, as well as fifteen games with the U19 team and one with the U21 formation.

Svetoslav Kovachev is not the only Ludogorets player to participate in the Nations Leagues. Anton Nedyalkov will also join the new team composition. He came this summer from the US team Dallas.
