Hours before the official presentation as a player at Ludogorets, the Polish national football team member Jacek Goralski answered a few questions for the club’s official website.
- Jacek, welcome to Bulgaria. How did you come to the point of being transferred in Ludogorets?
- I received an offer from the club. I also had other proposals, but Ludogorets was more persistent than any other team and acted in a professional manner. We negotiated and reached an agreement. I am very pleased to become a part of Ludogorets.
- What do you know about Bulgarian football?
- I am following the Bulgarian championship. I know that there a few leading teams, among which Ludogorets is indisputably the top one. The team has six consecutive championship titles. I hope that by next summer they will become seven with my contribution. I also know personally some of the Bulgarian players, whom I played with in Poland – Dimitar Iliev, Spas Delev, Mihail Aleksandrov.
- Ludogorets lost 0:2 the first game with Hapoel Beer Sheva. According to you, how big are the team’s chances of winning the rematch?
- The chances are definitely big. Ludogorets played good in Israel, I watched the whole game. A few situations were missed and two goals were allowed, which could have been prevented. Ludogorets could win the rematch with a good enough score to move forward in the qualification rounds. I believe in that.
- You have seen Ludogorets play. What is your evaluation of their performance?
- An excellent team with strong individual players. Ludogorets has enough class to play in the groups of both of the European tournaments.
- You are a part of the Polish national football team, but you only have one game. Do you know if the coach has intentions to give you more chances to join the main team?
- This is question that only he can answer. Lately I have been a part of the main team more often and I believe that the coach is counting on me. I am always ready to participate.
