Ludogorets U17 gave a chance to all the young players in their final friendly match in Bucharest

The elite Ludogorets U17 team played their final friendly match of the winter preparation, visiting Romania. The young "Eagles" faced FCSB (Bucharest) and suffered a 1:2 defeat, after having beaten them 4:0 at home the previous week.

Despite the result, the friendly match allowed all the players of Ludogorets U17 to showcase their abilities on the field. Some key players were absent from the matchday squad, but others, who are trialing at the "Eagles" Academy, had the chance to shine.

The friendly match did not start well for the visitors, who conceded a goal in the second minute. However, they quickly recovered and just six minutes later, the score was level. Maxim Minkov scored for Ludogorets, with the assist coming from Mahir Sherifov. In the remaining minutes of the first half, two excellent opportunities to take the lead were missed by Maxim Minkov and Yoan Anastasov. Right at the end of the half, an incorrectly disallowed goal by Ivan Todorov further distanced the young "Eagles" from advancing in the score.

In the second half, the players of Rosen Marinov created more chances to reach the opponent's goal. Clear goal-scoring opportunities were presented to Boyan Ivanov and Ivaylo Todorov. However, the score remained level until the very end, and in the final minute of the match, the hosts managed to secure the win.

"This was a useful test for us. In the first half, we performed at a better level. Despite the final result, many positives were seen in our game, and weaknesses were also noticed, which we will work on during training before the start of the second half of the season," said Ludogorets U17 head coach Rosen Marinov.

In their first league match of the spring part of the season in the U17 Elite Group, the young "Eagles" will host CSKA 1948. The match is scheduled for next Saturday in Razgrad.
