Ludogorets youth won the awards at the first ceremony for football talents in Bulgaria. This happened at a glamorous ceremony in Sofia, organized by the largest digital sports media in Bulgaria Sportal.bg and the Bulgarian Football Union.
The honors were distributed among players in the three Elite groups - up to 15, 16 and 17 years of age. Three best football players were selected for each of them. The final decision was made by the coaches in the given Elite group.
The Champion's Academy got a total of 7 awards.
Alexander Panayotov was chosen among the best goalkeepers in the Elite in our country under 15 years of age. In the same age category, Nikolay Popov was chosen as one of the best midfielders in our country.
Among the older players from the Elite under 16 years, Plamen Penev was awarded as the best goalkeeper. Kaloyan Bozhkov was among the best midfielders in Bulgaria.
Filip Gigov won the award for the best striker among the native players up to the age of 17. Elisey Sarov was chosen among the top midfielders.
The best players in their Elite groups formed the ideal teams for their age groups. They were determined based on the performance of the players during the season.
The Academy of Ludogorets can boast of another prestigious award. The head coach of the under-17 team, Martin Tsirkov, was recognized as the best and became the winner of the "Coach of the year" award. His team is the leader in the temporary ranking in Elite.
