Interview 24 March 2020

Cosmin Moti: We will remain in shape but we miss football

This is another of the interviews we took during the championship pause caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

This is another of the interviews we took during the championship pause caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Today, Moti will tell us how he keeps himself in good shape during this period.

- How do you spend your time during this break?
- I am mostly at home. I train on my own as much as I can. I spend more time with my family. I miss football, but it is what it is. The most important thing now is for the pandemic to pass and for us to return to our normal lives. I listen to news and read it on internet and I try to follow the rules and recommendations.

- Will Ludogorets be in top shape when the championship starts again?
- Of course, we are always in shape and we will be ready when the time comes. We don’t train as a team now but the other teams are forced to stay at home. If the break is not too long, we will be in great shape. But not what is important is for the crisis to end.

- How do people in Romania fight the virus?
- The measures are similar to the ones here. Restaurants are close, only stores and pharmacies work. People stay at home and follow the rules. The national championship is paused until the middle of April. It is expected for the games to start in May.

- Will our championship begin in May as well?
- It will be nice if it happens, and I hope so.

- How do you think Ludogorets performed so far?
- We are the overall leader and that means we did good. I think we performed great, actually. We lost some points and we had no luck against Levski in the match for the Bulgarian Cup but we are still good for now. I am pleased with our performance in the European tournaments. Our achievements are worth mentioning and we got the chance to stand against Inter.

- Do you think a better score against Inter was possible?
- I think we need to be happy with the outcome of that game. Maybe we could have been happier if the matches turned out different. We stood with pride in both games and I believe the time will come for Ludogorets to defeat teams such as Inter.
