Emil Gargorov is 30 years old, captain of Ludogorets. Scorer of 6 goals in official matches of the A League leader. He was previously player of Lokomotiv /Sofia/, CSKA, the French team Strasbourg, Universitatea /Craiova, Romania/. Three times champion of Bulgaria with the CSKA squad. He has 11 matches as a player of the national team, scorer of one goal.

- Do you find Ludogorets’s success, being at number one for the winter its first season in A Professional Football Group, logical and natural result?
- We surprised everybody with our excellent presentation, we filled with admiration the entire country and this is our satisfaction. Our success is due to the good group. Gathering many good players alone is not enough - there must be a functioning team, and we started working very well together in a short time – about 4-5 months.
- Ludogorets has 11 victories for the autumn half of the season. Was it a goal to be on the top?
- No. However, we always strive to show our best, we always play to win.
- What are your expectations for the second half of the season?
- Spring half-season will be tough. All teams will be on their guard now. It’s clear now that we are a serious team and they all will try to prove themselves in matches against us.
- You were in elite teams such as CSKA and Strasbourg, France. How do you find the conditions in Razgrad, comparing to other clubs?
- Conditions in Ludogorets are excellent in every aspect – fields, bases, preparation, development of the Youth academy. Work here is done in European manner. Bulgarian football needs this kind of attitude. I hope to see more Bulgarian teams start working like us, thus, raise the level of football in the country.
- “The eagles” impress with their will to fight until the very last referee signal. How do you do this?
- You need a strong mindedness for this kind of matches. We fight until the end, yet, we don’t always end up winners, like it happened in the match against Litex. The important thing is to play well and fight until the end. In Ludogorets it’s all due to the team work. We’ve all found our place on the field, everyone is doing 100% of their job. When there are squabbles in a team, it’s obvious on the field too. There are many examples for this in A PFG clubs. It’s not normal to have the relations inside of a club as an everyday media material. Intrigues eat them up. In Ludogorets, we’re beyond these flaws.
