Ludogorets qualified for the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The Eagles went down 0-1 in a symbolic visit to Dinamo Minsk in the Hungarian city of Mezokovesd, but move on with a 2-1 aggregate score thanks to a 2-0 first-leg win in Razgrad. The only goal for the Belarusians in the return leg was scored Ivan Bahar in the 37th minute.

Similar to their first visit in the previous round against the Georgian Dinamo Batumi, Ludogorets conceded minimally, but this did not prove fatal for the final outcome. Georgi Dermendzhiev's team dominated the majority of the match, had good chances to score a goal, but were unlucky because they hit the post after Tekpetey's strike. Dinamo was also looking for a second goal, but the goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann, who made his debut for the Bulgarian team, kept strong, and the crossbar was also his faithful assistant.

Thus, Ludogorets will play in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, where they will face Azerbaijan's Qarabag. By qualifying for this phase, the Eagles secured European matches at least until the end of the year, because even if they are eliminated from Qarabag and subsequently from the playoffs in the Europa League, the people of Razgrad will play in the group stage of the third most powerful competition, the Conference League. This will be the Bulgarian champion's ninth consecutive appearance in the group phase of European club tournaments, a total of 11 since the Eagles' European debut in 2012.
