Ludogorets won the Bulgarian Cup for the third time in its history. In the final, played at the Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia, the champions beat CSKA 1948 3:1. The Eagles last won the second most important trophy in 2014 after a 1:0 victory over Botev (Sf) at the Lazur Stadium in Burgas. The first Bulgarian Cup was won at the same venue two years earlier after a 2:1 success over Loko (Pld). With the success over CSKA 1948, Ludogorets now has 20 trophies - 3 Bulgarian Cups, 11 titles and 6 Super Cups.

The goals for Ludogorets were scored by Caio Vidal twice and Matias Tissera, with Kiril Despodov providing two assists. Ivaylo Chochev was accurate for CSKA 1948. In the second half, Spas Delev's goal was disallowed due to an offside after the intervention of VAR. Such was not considered for CSKA 1948 again because of an offside and a review with the VAR.

Ludogorets had the upper hand throughout the match and especially in the first half. However, several serious misses in front of Daniel Naumov's goal did not allow the team to decide the match at the very beginning. In general, the Eagles controlled the match and did not allow serious dangers in front of Simon Sluga.

On Sunday, the two teams face each other again in a match of the efbet Liga championship, which will be played from 21:00 at the stadium in Bistrica.
