Georgi Dermendzhiev is the new senior coach of Ludogorets. The decision on his appointment was made after urgent talks when it became clear that Ivaylo Petev would not lead Ludogorets more.
Georgi Dermendzhiev takes over Ludogorets for the third time. Under his leadership, the Eagles became the champion of Bulgaria three times (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17) and also recorded their greatest successes in European club tournaments, qualifying twice in the groups of the Champions League.
As a senior coach, Dermendzhiev led the champions in 132 matches, in which he recorded 77 wins, 30 draws and 25 losses in all tournaments.
