Second Title

Ludogorets secured the title literally in the last XXX round of the NEWS 7 football championship. The dramatic finish of the championship in favor of the "Eagles" further reinforced the widespread opinion that the Ludogorets team most deserved the gold medals. Throughout the season, Ivaylo Petev's boys were a class above their opponents. Once again, the team came out with a positive balance from the battles with the leading teams.

Champions League 2012/2013

European Club Tournaments

The debut of Ludogorets in the European club tournaments was more than good, even though the team failed to secure a win. On July 19, 2012, the "Eagles" missed out against Dinamo Zagreb in the first match of the second qualifying round of the most commercial tournament. Marcelinho opened the scoring in the 67th minute, and shortly after that, Ludogorets missed a golden chance for a second goal. The Croats equalized in the 92nd minute after a header by Ante Rukavina.

The return leg in Zagreb started excellently for Ludogorets. Gurgorov opened the scoring, Dinamo equalized, but Marcelinho once again gave the Bulgarian champion the lead. In the 60th minute, Rukavina scored his second goal of the match for 2:2. The drama unfolded in the 8th minute of extra time, when Damagoj Vida scored to secure the final 3:2.
