Ludogorets realized another strong incoming transfer. The 11-time champions have finalized a deal with Greek giants Olympiacos for right-back Gonzalo Avila Gordon, better known as Pipa. The former England Huddersfield and Espanyol player has joined the champions' camp in the Turkish resort of Belek after successfully passing his medical and fitness tests. He was introduced as a football player of Ludogorets by sports director Georgi Karamandzukov.

"I wish Pipa many great moments in Ludogorets. I believe that he will play strong matches and experience the pleasure of great victories," said Karamandzukov.

"I come to a very serious club. I know what Ludogorets means. I want to play and grow. That's why I chose this team," said Pipa, who will wear the number 2 shirt. "In 2019 I was at Espanyol when we played against Ludogorets. I know Franco Russo well, with whom we played in Spain," shared Pipa.

In the last season, Pipa had 11 games for Olympiacos, which attracted him from England's Huddersfield. For the Championship club, Pipa played 48 games and scored 2 goals.

He is the third new player in Ludogorets since the start of winter training. Before him, Dinis Almeida and Franco Russo were brought to the team from Antwerp and Mallorca.
