"The level of the Bulgarian championship is much better. Many coaches and players want to come and work in Bulgaria, in the Bulgarian league. What Ludogorets has built as a mentality is like a virus, which has spread to other clubs that want to develop. Pressure is a privilege in our work. When you are in the comfort zone, it is never the right answer. The easiest thing for me was not to come. I already have a treble, it would have been easy to refuse. I came to motivate the players so we can achieve those successes again," added the Croatian specialist.
"Journalists, you always talk about the club's goals. I am thinking about the next training, about the next day, how to prepare best, about the next friendly, about the first official match with Arda. The goal is here, but to achieve it, there is a process which we believe in. Results come based on that process. Based on it come victories and winning trophies."
"I have a dream, now I am dreaming again. I will realize my dreams with Ludogorets. The big dream is the Champions League. I know what that feeling is to play in the Champions League. I want to achieve it with Ludogorets, to make this a reality," Igor Jovicevic also said.
"None of the responsible parties at Ludogorets in the club has negotiated with any other coach except Igor. We reached an agreement very quickly. He has his own goals, which coincide with those of Ludogorets. We hope together to fulfill them and bring the title back to Razgrad," stated sports director Georgi Karamandzhukov. "We were looking for a person who, because October is approaching, would be familiar with the atmosphere, the environment, and the specifics of Ludogorets. Ludogorets is not just a club. It's a project that, when you leave it, makes you realize where you've been. There were people who gave more than enough for the club. Fresh blood, new energy, and new people with emotions were needed."
Georgi Karamandzhukov revealed that one of the most successful coaches of the "Eagles" – Georgi Dermendzhiev, is returning to the club. "He has given a lot to Ludogorets. He is one of the most successful coaches in the club's history. Dermendzhiev is very actively involved in the recruitment. He will be available to Igor, to us. With his experience and knowledge, he will be useful for the whole club," added the sports director.

„Не беше труден изборът ми да се върна. Това беше изборът на сърцето ми. Знам какво се очаква от отбора. Очакванията са много по-високи. Аз вече говорих с моите играчи, очаквам 7-8 футболисти да се върнат от националните отбори, за да направим срещи“, добави той.
На въпрос как Лудогорец ще се завърне на първото мястото, Йовичевич отговори: „Работа и работа. Аз вярвам в тренировъчния процес, в атмосферата в съблекалнята. Лудогорец разполага с футболисти, които имат нужните качества, за да се спечели титлата. Това винаги е била цел номер 1.“
