Huge recognition for Ludogorets! President Alexandrov has joined the board of directors of the European Club Association

The president of Ludogorets, Aleksandar Alexandrov, has joined the board of directors of the European Football Clubs Association (EFC). He was elected earlier today during the General Assembly of the organization, held in Copenhagen. This is a huge recognition for the 14-time champions and a landmark event for Bulgarian football, which, through Alexandrov, for the first time in its history, receives its own representation at an extremely high level in the most influential football club organization in Europe.

The EFC unites over 900 football clubs and actively participates in processes that determine the future of European football. The organization plays a significant role in dialogue with UEFA, defending the interests of the clubs, and discussing key issues related to the development of the game, including the distribution of financial resources among clubs.

The influence of EFC  in European football is also emphasized by its representation on the UEFA Executive Committee, where the organization holds two seats. Currently, its representatives are Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marín.

Aleksandar Alexandrov has been president of Ludogorets for more than 16 years and his election to the Board of Directors is an important step in the club's long-standing presence in the European football community at an even higher managerial level.

"This is a great honor and recognition for me, but at the same time also a responsibility," commented Aleksandar Alexandrov.

After the election, Alexandrov received congratulations in person from Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the other members of the Board of Directors.
