Ludogorets introduced their newest recruits. The three new names are conditioning trainer Ivan Diaz, who has previously worked for Atletico Madrid, as well the players Dragos Grigore and Dimo Bakalov. The defender is one of the captains of the Romanian national football team was part of the Al Sailiya team until recently, and Bakalov is actually returning home. He was playing for Lokomotiv (Plovdiv), but before that he was a part of Ludogorets and also scored the first goal for the team in A group. ‘My history in Atletico is rather long. I needed to go somewhere abroad and Ludogorets offer me exactly that. I think I can help the team and we will try to improve each player in order to be better in the European tournaments. I came here to gather some experience outside of Spain and because of Ludogorets’ invitation’, said Diaz, who believes that the team from Razgrad will be in the Champions League groups next season. ‘Yes, it is likely that we will play in the CL groups. The year when Real Madrd played was not bad. We need to be on the same level’, the specialist added.
‘I accepted Ludogorets’ proposal because it is a chance for me to play football on a high level’, said Grigore. ‘Ludogorets’ priority is to play in the Champions League and I am here to help the team. Moti is more than my friend and he will help me adapt faster. Keseru is a good player and also the top scorer in the last season. I am happy that I get to play alongside him’, the Romanian player added.
