Ludogorets toppled Beroe in 5 minutes

Ludogorets qualified for the 1/8 finals in the Bulgarian Cup tournament after a 3:0 victory over Beroe. All goals were scored after the break within a span of 5 minutes.

Ivaylo Chochev opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 66th minute, awarded for a handball by Zapro Dinev. A quick counterattack two minutes later ended with a goal by Caio Vidal to make it 2:0. In the 71st minute, the score became classic in favor of the "Eagles," after Rwan Cruz scored, finishing into the net a ball rebounded by the home team's goalkeeper. Shortly after that, the team from Stara Zagora was left with one player less. Goalkeeper Ivan Goshev was sent off for handling the ball outside the penalty area.

Ludogorets had total dominance throughout the match, but a number of missed chances in front of Beroe’s goal deprived the team of an even more impressive victory.

Official debuts for Ludogorets were made by goalkeeper Ivo Grbic and Tunisian national Omar Rekik.
