Ludogorets dropped two more points in the title race

PFC Ludogorets Razgrad and PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv ended in a 1:1 draw in a match from the 23rd round of the efbet League. The champions now trail league leaders PFC Levski Sofia by 12 points. The two sides will meet in a direct clash on Thursday in Razgrad.

The match at Huvepharma Arena offered plenty of drama until the final seconds, but in the end the hosts were unable to break down the resistance of the “Smurfs” and dropped valuable points in their pursuit of the top spot in the standings.

During the first half, the “Eagles” missed several clear scoring opportunities. The closest to finding the net were Narese, Rwan Cruz and Stanislav Ivanov.

After the break, the pattern of the game did not change. Ludogorets applied pressure but failed to create clear chances in front of Lokomotiv’s goal, despite the introductions of Erick Marcus, Caio Vidal and Kwadwo Duah. Meanwhile, the visitors took the lead in the 75th minute when Julien Lamy found Sevi Idriz inside the six-yard box, and the youngster scored into an empty net to make it 0:1.

Ludogorets equalized five minutes before the end through an Erick Marcus free-kick goal. However, there was not enough time to complete the comeback.

Alberto Salido made his official debut for Ludogorets, coming on as a substitute late in the match.
