The youth team of Ludogorets will face the winner of the tie between Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) and Ordabasy (Kazakhstan) in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Youth League. The draw for the most prestigious youth football competition in Europe was held today at UEFA headquarters.
The first qualifying round clash between Dinamo and Ordabasy will be played over two legs, scheduled for September 17 and October 1. Ludogorets will enter the competition directly in the second round, with their matches set for October 22 (first leg) and November 5 (second leg).
Dinamo Minsk is a familiar opponent for the young "Eagles", as the two academies previously met in the Youth League in 2023. Interestingly, just two years prior, the draw had again paired them at the start of the tournament, but the match was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ludogorets’ youth team earned their spot in this season’s UEFA Youth League after winning The Bulgarian Football Union Cup (Купа на БФС) at the end of last season, defeating Levski Sofia in the final.
