Ludogorets has signed Brazilian forward Matheus Machado from Saudi club Al-Fateh. On Wednesday, the two clubs successfully finalized negotiations for the transfer. The 22-year-old striker joins the 14-time Bulgarian champions on a one-year loan deal, which includes a purchase option. Machado passed his medical examinations and arrived in Razgrad on Thursday.
Matheus Machado is already well known in Bulgaria. In 2023, he played for Cherno More before being transferred to Belgian side Zulte Waregem.
"I'm happy to be joining Ludogorets. I know the club well from my time in Bulgaria and I'm glad to have the chance to be part of it," said the Brazilian.
Machado becomes Ludogorets' fifth new signing this summer, following the arrivals of Stanislav Ivanov, Filip Kaloc, Joel Andersson, and Petar Stanic.
