Ludogorets sold Žan Karničnik to the leader in Slovenia

PFC Ludogorets sold defender Zan Karnicnik to Slovenian Celje. In the last 12 months the full-back has played for this club on loan. The leader of the Slovenian championship took advantage of the option to buy Karnicnik and he officially became the property of Celje from January 2024.

There was also interest in the Slovenian international from other teams but he preferred to continue his career in the team for which in his period on relegation has 42 games (3592 minutes) with 2 goals and 4 assists.

Zan Karnicnik was attracted to Ludogorets in January 2022 by another Slovenian team - Mura. For the Eagles Karnicnik played 23 games (1745 minutes) in all competitions and recorded three assists.
