Dambrauskas: Our effort in the match against CSKA 1948 paid off

The head coach of Ludogorets was happy about the 4:0 win over CSKA 1948 and stated that the team played in a true champion manner.

The head coach of Ludogorets was happy about the 4:0 win over CSKA 1948 and stated that the team played in a true champion manner. He mentioned specifically Despodov who performed great.

“It was not an easy match but it was an important one. There was a lot of tension and we had to keep our distance. We had to focus and prepare for this match and we did it. The competitors had a good plan but it was a more difficult match than it seemed initially”.

“We were surprised by their team composition. Still, we need to adapt to every challenge or surprise, therefore, we were patient. I am pleased that we were able to add a static goal as well because we worked on that during training”.

“Despodov is important to us. We know that he is the kind of player to go ballistic in the most important moments. We dominated throughout the last match and we played like champions. We showed the competitors they need to adapt to our performance. We will need Despodov in order to continue to be successful.”

“We will be able to win the title when we make our calculations. We need to keep it together and to be focused. We must work hard to achieve that goal”, the Lithuanian concluded.
