Ludogorets have reached an agreement to sign with French midfielder Mounir Chouiar two days before the transfer window closes. Mounir arrives after Kiril Despodov left.

Mounir, aged 24, spent the 2022/23 season in the Turkish Super League, where he competed for Istanbul Basaksehir and Kasampaşa and registered 46 appearances, 4 goals and 10 assists. Also, in the Conference League tournament, the new Ludogorets midfielder recorded 6 appearances and 1 assist last season. In Mounir's career, another 43 matches in the French top division Ligue 1 with the Dijon FCO team stand out in which he managed to score 4 goals and provide 2 assists.

"I am very excited to take the next step in my career in Ludogorets. I know the club from its strong performance in European tournaments in recent years. I hope together this season we can also go far in the Conference League and become champions again. And next year I will fight to return the team to the Champions League, because the club has the qualities to play in the strongest European tournament," said Mounir Chouiar after signing his contract.

Mounir becomes the sixth new player of Ludogorets during the summer transfer window. Before him, Marcel Heister, Son, Kwadwo Duah, Rwan Cruz and Sonko Sundberg were successively brought into the team.

We wish Mounir Chouiar the best of luck in the green shirt!
