Ludogorets realized its first incoming transfer before the new season. The thirteen-time champions have signed with a German goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann as a free agent. The guard most recently played for Austria's elite Wolfsberger AK. On Tuesday, Bonmann successfully passed the medical examinations and fitness tests in Sofia, after which he signed his contract. The goalkeeper, born on January 22, 1994, will be presented to the media at a press conference at the beginning of Ludogorets' summer training, which begins on June 10 in the capital. Hendrik Bonmann will play with number 39.
"I am very excited to become a part of Ludogorets", was Bonmann's first comment. "Even from the first conversation with the club's management, I felt that I belong here. The ambitious goals of the club fully correspond to my mentality and way of working. I am looking forward exciting challenges next season and I will do my best to help us achieve our big goals."
The goalkeeper began his career at his native Rot Weiss (Essen), then successively played for Borussia (Dortmund), Munich 1860, Wurzburger Kickers and Wolfsberger AK. In the last season, Bonmann made 24 appearances for the Austrian Wolfsberger AK.
The goalkeeper also has two trophies in his career. As part of Borussia (Dortmund), he won the German Supercup in the 2014/2015 season and the German Cup in 2016/2017.
