Ludogorets realized its first winter transfer. The 11-time champions have brought in Portuguese defender Dinis Almeida, who is known in Bulgaria for his time at Loko (Pd). The management of the "Eagles" successfully finalized the negotiations with the Belgian Antwerp, where the defender last played. Meanwhile, Almeida passed the medical examinations and fitness tests in Sofia and signed his contract. Dinis will join Ludogorets on Monday when the team travels to Turkey, where they will remain in camp until February, 4th.
"It is a privilege for me to be a part of Ludogorets. My transfer to the club is a big step forward in my career. I believe that I will justify the trust of my colleagues and fans," said Dinis Almeida.
In his career so far, Dinis Almeida has played for Belenenses, Braga, Xanthi, Reus Deportiu, Lokomotiv (Pd) and Antwerp. In total, he played 197 official matches, in which he scored 19 goals. In the Bulgarian championship, Almeida has 63 matches with 8 goals.
The centre-back also has three caps for Portugal's youth national team.
