PFC Ludogorets and Sergio Padt have parted ways by mutual agreement.
The Dutch goalkeeper leaves Razgrad after five years, during which he was an important part of the „Eagles“ squad. Padt is the second key player to leave Ludogorets in the last few days, after the club also parted ways with one of its most experienced defenders - Olivier Verdon.
Sergio Padt arrived in Razgrad in 2021 and quickly became a key figure in the Ludogorets team. With his strong performances between the posts and a series of crucial saves, he contributed to the successes of the „Eagles“ over the years and earned the respect of his teammates, the coaching staff, and the club’s supporters.
Padt leaves after 152 matches with Ludogorets, keeping a clean sheet in 67 of them.
The Dutchman won 4 Bulgarian league titles, 2 Bulgarian Cups, and 5 Bulgarian Super Cups with Ludogorets, becoming a key part of the successful seasons of the „Eagles“ both domestically and in European club tournaments.
"I want to thank the Ludogorets fans, my teammates, and the club management. Together we won many trophies and shared great moments. My children grew up in Razgrad. The city will always be very special to me. I wish Ludogorets success in the battle for the title," Padt shared.
