A valuable staff member returned to Ludogorets. Dr. Valentin Velikov is the newest addition to the medical staff responsible for the first team. Velikov takes Radu Paligora’s place, who is no longer part of the team.

Dr. Velikov worked for Ludogorets between 2011 and 2013. He was the main doctor of the team since the club joined the A group in July 2011. He left before the win against Partizan in the Champions League third preliminary round. This means that Dr. Velikov helped the team win two of the championship titles, as well as the Cup and the Supercup which the club won during the 2011/2012 season.

Dr. Velikov graduated from the Medical University in Sofia in 2002. He specialized in Sports medicine during the following seven years at the ‘Prof. Dr. D. Shoylev’ hospital in Sofia. He has an impressive experience. He used to work for the Bulgarian national team, as well as for AEL, Omonia and Dinamo (Zagreb).
