Ludogorets U16 won the Bulgarian Football Union cup after an intense final against Septemvri. Ivo Gradev’s team won with a 1:0 score.
Septemvri showed high activity but the first goal situation was created by Ludogorets in the 8th minute. Nedkov was alone against the keeper but his angle was not correct and he failed to score. Ludogorets picked up their pace and applied pressure on the competitor. Statev tried to score but sent the ball into the corner. Ivanov sent the ball into the penalty zone in the 20th minute but Gospodinov did not take advantage of the situation. Pemperski received the incoming ball with his head in the 22nd minute but it went pass the gate. Gospodinov tried again and sent a powerful shot from the penalty zone border but the ball went flying just a meter from the woodwork. There were no other situations until the end of the first half.
In the 51st minute the defense line of Ludogorets was put to the test but the defenders and the keeper Petkov did their best and prevented a goal. Petkov and a defender stopped a couple of goal attempts. Ludogorets created a nice attack in the 62nd minute and Statev scored a goal. Septemvri tried to make the score even but they had no luck.
