Rout and title: Ludogorets U17 are champions of Bulgaria
The Ludogorets footballers born in 2009 triumphed with the Bulgarian championship title for the third consecutive year.
Ludogorets U17 sealed their triumph with a convincing 5:0 win over Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) in their home match from the final, 29th round of the Elite Group.
The score was opened by Vasil Ivanov in the 18th minute. Just seven minutes later, Yastian Georgiev doubled the hosts’ lead to 2:0, and in the 36th minute, Darius Durolari made it a classic 3:0.
After the break, Kristian Zhelev scored in the 62nd minute to make it 4:0, and in the 73rd minute, Preslav Stoykov formed the final 5:0.
“I congratulate all the players, coaches, and management for the success achieved. Thanks to the joint efforts and dedication throughout the year, the team deservedly became champions for the third consecutive year. Thank you all for your work and commitment,” commented Ludogorets U17's head coach Milen Marinov.
With this success, Ludogorets U17 finished the season in first place in the final standings with a total of 52 points—four more than second-placed Levski (Sofia).
