Recognition: UEFA invited Ludogorets to a working group for the new tournament rules

The team of PFC "Ludogorets", which for many years has organized impeccable matches from the group stages of all European tournaments, received huge recognition – its representative was invited as part of a UEFA working group. This is the longtime administrator Plamen Yordanov, who took part in discussions on topics related to current UEFA regulations for European club tournaments. The forum was held in Leipzig and, in addition to Ludogorets, also included representatives from Liverpool, Roma, Monaco, Porto, Feyenoord, Besiktas, Red Bull (Salzburg), Viktoria (Plzen), Ferencvaros, Betis, and Bayer (Leverkusen).

The working meeting also discussed issues related to stadium safety and access control, match organization, and the changes in UEFA’s new regulatory cycle for the period 2027–2030.

Yordanov shared Ludogorets’ experience in organizing matches for European tournaments with the forum and raised important questions that were discussed by the other participants. Among them were requirements for seating visiting fans with Class I tickets in cases where there may be potential conflicts in the stands. This issue will be considered carefully in the preparation of the new regulations.
PFC "Ludogorets" has participated continuously in tournaments since 2012. During this period, the "Eagles" have played 179 official matches in the qualifications and main phase in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
The participants in the working meeting attended the final of the Conference League tournament, Crystal Palace – Rayo Vallecano (1:0), which was played at the stadium in Leipzig.
