Ludogorets crushed Loko (Pd) in the battle for Europe

Ludogorets will play in the European competitions this summer. The 14-time champions qualified for the second qualifying round of the Conference League after defeating Loko (Plovdiv) in a penalty shootout in the final playoff.

The hero for the "Eagles" was Hendrik Bonmann, who saved three penalties and disheartened the opposition players. The German goalkeeper also shone with two crucial saves in extra time.

For Ludogorets, Ivan Yordanov, Eric Marcus, and Ruan Cruz converted their penalties. Kwadwo Dua, however, missed the first spot kick.

During regular time, Ludogorets had complete dominance and took 20 shots on Milisavljevic's goal. Petar Stanich and Eric Bile came closest to scoring. At one point, the post saved Loko (Plovdiv) after a shot by Alberto Salido.

Deroy Duarte also played a very strong match; he stayed specifically to help his teammates in the playoff, despite the Cape Verde national team being at a training camp.

Ludogorets will be on break until June 18, after which their summer preparations will begin. The first stage will take place in Razgrad.
