Ludogorets II beat Rilets at the start of the Second League

Ludogorets II started the Second League championship with a victory. Todor Zhivondov's boys beat Rilski Sportist 1:0 as visitors in Samokov. The winning goal was scored by Martin Stanchev in the 67th minute. He finished masterfully after freeing himself from two defenders in the hosts' penalty area following an excellent pass from Nasko Yanev. Shortly after that, Ludogorets II had an opportunity for a second goal, but Elisey Surov's header hit the outside of the post.

The hosts, who hadn't played professional football for more than 10 years, also had good chances to score. Excellent saves by goalkeeper Zlatomir Stoimenov, however, kept the "Eagles'" net "dry."

In the next round on August 3, Ludogorets will host Loko (GO).
