Chochev brought the victory for Ludogorets at the start

Ludogorets started the 2026/27 season with a win. The "Eagles" defeated Lokomotiv Plovdiv 1:0 in Razgrad. Ivaylo Chochev scored at the end of the first half, taking advantage of an excellent cross from Simeon Shishkov and leaving no chance for Boyan Milosavlevich.

The match was the debut for Ludogorets’ new coach Thomas Reis, who began with an important victory.

The "Eagles" had more chances to score, with Ruan Cruz coming closest in the second half.

The guests from Plovdiv played strongly and created several clear opportunities, but goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann intervened brilliantly and kept the three points in Razgrad.

On Thursday, Ludogorets will visit Apoel Tel Aviv in Hungary for a match in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
